Outlook colors and sharing

This once worked. It no longer does. Why?

We are an office of three people. We can look at each others calendars.
However, each of us likes our own calendar to fill the screen. So, we
assigned each of us a color for calendar items.

When we first did this we were able to drag items to others calendars and
the items would show show up in the color assigned to the person. It was easy
to see who was doing what at what time.

This procedure no longer works. If I drag an item from my calendar to the
other two people's calendars, it shows up in their colors.

Why did the procedure stop working?

working with.
