Outlook constantly having error occur and want to close

I am running a new computer with XP. Since the new
computer Outlook (we have Office 2000) will only stay open
about a minute or so and then a message pops up "Outlook
has encountered a problem and needs to close"

Click on info
Error Signature
APPname:eek:utlook.exe APPver:9.0.0.2416 Modname:fldpub.dll
Modver:9.0.2518.0 Offset:0002a142

We attempted to repair outlook - no change
We unistalled Office 2000 and then reinstalled - still no
change

I would really appreciate any suggestions
