Outlook - Contact Database

When I type in a phone number the software propmts me to
configure an "out dial" capability. When I decline this,
the program gets in a loop and corrupts the database
which necessitates an automatic repair / re-install of
Office. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how'd
you get around it? Thanks. GJK
