Outlook Contacts and Mail

Just started with a new computer, and can't get Mail to recognize Contacts,
nor can I add any e-mail addresses from Mail to Contacts. Any help?

Outlook 2003... have created a new profile, and re-imported the contacts, so
they now appear in creating new mail. However, I still can not copy an
e-mail address to contacts. any suggestions?

State how you transferred your Contacts.
State where they appear and where they don't.
State what you mean by "I cannot copy an e-mail address to contacts"

can anyone tell me step by step how to set up outlook 2003 i just bought my computer im not that computer literate on XPS M170 NOTEBOOK I USE YAHOO.COM AND GMAIL.COM SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
