Outlook crashes when opening emails with attachments

I am having problems with outlook 2003, I can open and
read emails without any attachments. However, if I try to
open emails with attachments outlook crashes. I tried to
uninstall office 03 but I am getting an error that is
preventing me from uninstalling. I appreciate the help.
