Whose procedure? You didn't quote anything of the original thread to give
context to your reply. You didn't even reply to an existing thread (for
"your" to have any relevance). You started a NEW thread.
I was able to easily move my outlook data files.
But nothing in your NEW thread describe *what* procedure you used to move
the data files and how you opened them in Outlook and what was the version
of Outlook before.
The only problem I'm having is that instead of showing the account name in
the left hand column of outlook
Left hand column? Would that be a column of data in the headers list pane?
Or might it be the folder tree showing the message store and its hierarchy
of folders?
it's showing the name of the data file for each account. How can I rename
these? Go into the account settings doesn't help.
If you're asking about the name given to the root folder of a tree list in
the folder pane (i.e., the name given to the message store), that is a
property of that message store. Right-click on the root node in a tree,
select Properties (and then perhaps under Advanced options), and rename the
message store to something more descriptive or to whatever you want.
I'm using the outlook 2010 Beta release.
This newsgroup discusses the *released* versions of Outlook.
