Outlook does not retain passwords

Even though I have set 'remember password'. Every time I
enter Outlook, I am prompted. Can I set it somewhere
else?

In Outlook 2002 you have to enter your password everytime unless you are on
the same Active Directory tree as the exchange server. That is if you are
on an Exchange server.

I found the solution in resetting the registry, unfortunately, I did not keep the article. It can be fixed, think it was hidden deep in a microsoft help thing, Assuming you are not on a group.

We had the same issue on a handful of XP desktops at
work. This worked in a jiffy.
