Outlook doesn't delete POP3 email from remote server

Sean

I have checked all of my options under the Tools menu and
everything is setup correctly. I have a feeling that this
is going to involve a trip into the Registry. I have
attempted to setup a Log file, but this didn't work
either. Any advice would be well received.

Thanks
Sean

What version of Outlook do you have? What are the settings with respect to
leave-on-server on the Advanced tab for the account?

My user is using Outlook 2002. I have checked all of the
checkboxes in regards to the "copying of email headers".
I also setup Outlook to delete email on server after 1
day. This seems to fix the constant re-downloading of
email messages, but it still creates a problem of them
being there for 24 hours.

Has your user applied all the Outlook 2002 service packs? There were
certain circumstances in which the initial release of Outlook 2002 wouldn't
delete messages from the server (not common, but there were problems) that
were fixed in later service packs.
