Outlook "Email Forwarding" Group Policy

Hello,

I am curious as to whether we can enable or disable email forwarding
to external addresses per user via Group Policy. The concern here is
that we do not want anyone to be able forward their email externally
unless they are pre-approved by us.

If anyone knows where I could find more information on this, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks

Outlook has no such feature at the client level. No feature, no policy.

Outlook does not have the ability to enable or disable email
forwarding? External emails might be a bit too specific, but I thought
at least this was obtainable.

If you want to block the Forward toolbar/menu command and Ctrl+F keystroke, that can be done with a Group Policy Object. The article at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011402401033.aspx explains how; look at the section on "Disabling menu items and command bar buttons." You can use the Outlook VBA code sample at http://www.outlookcode.com/codedetail.aspx?id=1507 to get the IDs that you need to be able to disable toolbar and menu commands. Or use the Outlook Spy tool from http://www.dimastr.com/outspy/. I also have a complete list in the appendices to my "Configuring Outlook 2003" book.

But that, of course, would disable all forwarding (except VBA code), which is different from what your original question was asking about.
