Outlook email password

I cannot get my email password to save in Outlook. I have updated my mail Account and clicked the save password box, but it will not save. When i go back in and look at Properties, the save password box is checked, but the password is blanked out.

I have to enter my password every time I want to check messages. Can anybody help?!
