Outlook.exe process doesn't end

Hi there,

I have windows NT4.0 and office 97 and outlook 98, they
all work like a charm but, i keep having this problems
with outlook.exe, it doesn't end when I close Outlook.
You still see a new mail in the system tray when you get
one. Is this the reason, does it something to do with the
notify function? I have to know because it keeps me from
backing-up my .pst file...
Please help.

Usually, this is attributed to the MAPISP32.EXE process not shutting down.
Do you have any software installed that may be using this (or interfacing
with Outlook) such as FAX software or PDA synchronization software?
