After installing MS Office 2003 Professional Edition, all of the entries in
my Outlook Express Address Book disappeared! How do I get them back? I am
using Windows XP Home Edition.

The niether OE or its Address book has any relationship with Office. Nor
does office use an address book

I know Outlook Express is not a part of Office, however, all of my OE Address
Book entries somehow were exported into Outlook Contacts list and I no longer
have any entries in my OE Address Book! I would like to get my entries back
into my OE Address Book!

All I can say is this: After installing Office 2003 Professional Edition my
Address Book in OE was cleaned out! Also, the Outlook that was installed
DOES have an Address Book AND a Contacts List! And, the Contacts list looks
suspiciously like the entries that were in my OE Address Book - go figure!
Anyway, after much exploration, I was able to export the Contacts List back
into my OE Address Book. Thanks for your help anyway.

I'm having the same problem after installing office 2007. how did you export
the contacts back the OE??

Outlook has a Contacts folder, which can be configured to *view* as an
address book. I doesnt have an address book as such.
Within OL export the contacts list in a format that OE can import
PS If you are going to continue using OE, why install Outlook? you didnt
have to.
