Outlook freezes when trying to close down program

Outlook freezes when trying to close down program. User
has Office 2000, Outlook 98 and we are running Microsoft
Exchange server v5.5. Try shutting down through Task
manager and program will still not close. Has do it 2-3
times before it finally closes. Any suggestions?
