Outlook Mail does not see Outlook Contacts

Just upgraded to 2003. Using my old XP .pst file and now Outlook does not recognize any of my contacts when I write email. All the contacts are there in the contacts tab, but there seems to be a "disconnect" between contacts and mail. Please help....s.

Right-click on your contacts folder, go to properties, outlook address book,
and tick the box...does that help?
