Outlook Newsreader and microsoft.public.excel.misc

Whenever I am in microsoft.public.excel.misc and go to
Edit -> Mark All Read, the newsreader always hangs.
This does not happen with any other newsgroups I go
into, including several other microsoft.public.xxxxx.xxxxx
newsgroups. The same thing happens at work...

The newsreader I use is associated with Outlook Express
6 (I use Outlook 2000 for e-mail). At home I have
Win2K and at work I have WinXP.

Has anyone else run into the same problem and found
out how to fix it?
