Outlook not responding

Having a problem with a few users computers, Oulook will
launch but hang once the splash screen and program window
come up. Running windows 2000 sp3 and Outlook 2000 sp3 as
well. This issue only appeared after loading the most
recent set of patches from windows update, anyone know of
any issues with outlook due to these updates? Funny thing
is that anyone else who logs onto these computers can
launch outlook fine, but the normal everyday user of the
PC cannot, which leads me to something in the profile and
not the program itself. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Nate.

Sounds like a corrupted outcmd.dat file which controls the Toolbar settings.
Rename the file to outcmd.old to reset it.

Tried that, the new file isn't creating itself, then ran
scanpst, no errors. Running Chkdsk now to weed out any pst
file coruption. If that doesn't work, any suggestions
after that. pst file is aproximately 1.5 gigs. After
renaming the old pst file outlook launched without a
problem. But still wondering why it came up without any
errors. Thanks for the help,

Nate.
