Outlook Not Responding

During a send and receive yesterday outlook froze and I
consistently get a not responding message everytime I
click send and receive or even attempt to open a message
in Outlook.

Any suggestions... I need this help as I am in the
middle of a major event and depend upon email on a minute
by minute basis.

What version of Outlook are you running? What sort of mail account(s) do
you have? Is the "not responding" message you're getting a Windows message
saying that Outlook is no longer responding, or an error message displayed
by Outlook?
