Outlook "not responding"

Has anyone experienced Outlook not responding on a
frequent bases? Task Manager indicates that the process
is "not responding". I am running SP3.

The process can "go away" for 1-3 minutes or longer and
many times, never returns. No specific function request
causes this to happen. It has resulted in the same
problem at times during start-up.

Outlook 2000 I assume? Do you have an Exchange server? If not, what kind
of mail protocols are you using? (IMAP? POP3?)
