outlook not working correctly :(

I use Outlook and in the inbox I'd like to find a particular
email address by pressing the first character. It works with all the
computers in our system but one, and i don't know what the problem can be.

Thanks for giving your Outlook version. It's Outlook 2002, however, not
Outlook XP. Outlook 2002 is a part of Office XP.

When you attempt to display the address you mention, what window are you in?
Are you trying to compose a message and you're typing in the "To:" box? Are
you in the Address Book window and are trying to locate the address? What
exactly is on the screen and what are you typing?
