Hi,

We are using Outlook XP as a client. We have a our pop3
server running on internet. On the configuration option we
have mentioned our pop3 server as pop.registeredsite.com,
but after some time this is automatically changed to
localhost. This is results failure in downloading mails
from our pop3 server. Then again we have to go to the
setting and change the pop3 address to
pop.registeredsite.com. This is happening very often. How
to reslove this. Can any one help me in resolving this

Your anti-virus software (which, BTW, is too old) is changing your server's
name.

I would recommend that you upgrade your anti-virus software. The reason that
I say that your anti-virus software is too old is that anti-virus software
manufacturers stopped using that method of checking several years ago.
