I'm having a problem with 3 users on my network.
They are log onto the Windows AD network ok, but when they open up
outlook they are prompted for their logon info. The security logs on
the server say that they have given a bad password.
Once they re-enter their password they can log in to their mailboxes
with no trouble.
All clients (outlook 2000 by the way) are set to use NT password
authentication and the exchange server is in the same domain that the
users log in to, so it's not a trust issue. I've tried the fix in KB
article 321652 and it did not help.
If the users create a new windows profile, or use a different computer
the error does not occur, but neither of these are acceptable
solutions.
I'm thinking it HAS to be a registry setting where outlook is caching
an old password and passing it or something, but I can't find where it
would be.
This is weird and I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?
