Outlook PST Password/Manual Uninstall

I set a passowd on my personal folders. It worked for about 4 days but then
suddenly wouldn't take the password. I tried a system restore on the PC to
no avail. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office 2 times to no
avail. When I open outlook it still prompts me for a password to the
personal folders file. Any ideas on what I can try. Is it possible to do a
manual install of Outlook and clear out the Registry? If so, how.
Thanks for you help

It seems like something is in the registry. I did a search on my PC and no
*.pst files exist. So the recovery tools won't work. Any other ideas?

Once you lose the .pst password, you will need to use an Office Recovery
tool to gain access. It is not kept in the registry. Try google.com and
look for password recovery tools.

..pst files are hidden - you need to turn on that option when searching.
