Outlook Save as a Browser???

I've been toying with using MS Outlook as a browser instead of MS
Explorer. I have a situation where the user, uses MS Outlook
extensively but only searches the internet occassionally. After showing
her how to use MS Outlook as a web browser she asked if it's safe.
So.... My question is how safe is MS Outlook compared to Explorer with
respect to security?

Outlook is a PIM, not a browser.

The same underlying engine is used to display content. Therefore whatever
hits Internet Explorer, tends to hit every application that hosts/uses that
shared engine code.

I'm simply asking a question about the safety of Outlook if employed as
a browser. Irrespective of which program it relies upon the question
about browser safety still remains.... unanswered.

To put it bluntly, no difference.
