Outlook shows receiving e-mail but nothing received in Inbox

I have just installed a new motherboard. Before
installation, e-mail send and received was fine. Now,
once connected, Outlook appears to be receiving e-mail but
nothing appears in my Inbox. The Outgoing e-mail also
fails to go. Have contacted my administrator and the
server is fine. Have reloaded Outlook and reloaded my e-
mail account. Anybody had this issue before?

In general, replacing a motherboard without re-installing
Windows is a dangerous affair. You can run into a lot of
compatibility and driver issues. Not always, but often.

That said, my suggestion would be to recreate your
Outlook profile. You should first make a backup of your
PSTs just in case. To create a new profile, remove the
current profile from the mail applet in the control panel.

If all else fails, it might be a good idea to re-install
windows. Changing a motherboard is not very different
from changing computers.

Good luck!
