Outlook slow to open

the program is very slow to open, I have some idea that
it is to do with deleting or re naming a file but I can't
remember how to do it, can anybody help?

your after the file named outcmd.dat

What version of Outlook? If 2002 try disabling the Messenger integration in
Tools-> Opions-> tab Other.

The file outcmd.dat contains the Toolbar settings.
