Outlook Slow to recall data

After installing SP1 on Outlook 2002, the program runs
very slow. When i click on an email, it hangs for
several seconds before displaying the message.
Any thoughts?

Try turning off the "Instant Messaging"

Open the TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS...
Select the OTHER tab

Turn off the check mark next to "Enable Instant Messaging
on Microsoft Outlook"
