Outlook is slow when just clicking from message to
message. Not opening messages.
The problem arises when clicking from message to message,
you click on a message and it gets highlighted (no double-
clicking, just one click so it can be highlighted) that
have attachments or messages that are big (30K+). ex:
Let's say you click on a message and it gets highlighted
then you click on another message and that one gets
highlighted. Well, if you click on a message that's 1 meg
in size the system will not respond for about 30 seconds.
It's like if the message is opening up but it doesn't or
downloading the attachment in the background. This should
only happen if you double click on the message not
highlight it. After Outlooks just hangs for a while it
comes back and you can click on other messages. If you
click on a message that is large in size it will hang
again.
I've done the following to try to correct the problem:
Windows Updates are all installed.
Office Updates are up to date
I reinstalled Office 2000 then applied updates
deleted and recreated Outlook profile.
The problem only occurs in Outlook, no other problems.
