Outlook trys to reinstall, then fails with error 1722.

I just booted my Win2K machine for the first time this week. When I try
to launch Outlook from my desktop, it shows an "Installing Office XP"
dialogue for 20 seconds or so, then fails with error code 1722. I
haven't installed anything new for months. Does anyone have any ideas?
