Outlook VPN Issues

I am having troubles with an XP machine running outlook
2000. When tring to get a user connected thru VPN to
their outlook email on exchange 2000 server a box comes
up asking for User Name, Domain, and Password. when put
in all the right information says logon credentials are
wrong. Can anyone help??
