Outlook won’t accept correct passwords

Hi,

I wonder if someone could help me. I’ve installed Outlook 2007 (as part of
Office Professional) on my Windows XP (SP2 & all current updates) laptop.
There are four accounts on the laptop, but I’ve only configured Outlook in
two of these (my account and my wife’s account – the other two accounts are
for our two young sons, who don’t need email).

Both my wife and I have access to the following accounts:

• Our own personal yahoo accounts – POP3
• Our own business account -IMAP
• The other’s business account (we are business partners) – IMAP
• The general business “contact us†account – IMAP

In my account, thus far, everything works fine. However, when my wife starts
Outlook under her Windows User Account, it prompts her for all of her email
account passwords (which were already entered correctly when the accounts
were setup). Entering the correct passwords (and ticking the “Remember this
password†box), doesn’t fix the problem. Outlook simply waits for a moment or
two then prompts again.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks

Karl

This article only applies to Vista, the original poster of the
question (and myself, having the same, or a similar problem) is
Running XP Pro.

Does this still apply??? If so can you direct me (us) to the right
folder location as the one in the article does not exsit in XP Pro.

Many Thanks
Chris
