Outlook XP New Mail does not

I have an Exchange 2002 server that my clients retrieve email from using
MAPI. A few Windows XP machines running OutlookXP experience a delay when
new email arrives.

Specifically a user needs to click on another folder and then return to the
Inbox to populate the new email.

It is as if these Outlook clients are not constantly polling the server for
new email. They are all desktop PCs that never use offline folders.

Any help from a Guru would be greatly appreciated.
