Outlook XP - unable to retriev PST from CD Rom

Have Outlook XP. Burned a .pst file to a CD-ROM but, now I can't retrieve it from the CD
Has anyone been sucessful with burning a .pst file to a CD ROM then been able to read it afterwards?

You can't read directly from CD. You must copy it back to your harddisk and
then remove the "Read Only" file property. Then connect to it by File->
Open-> Outlook Data File...
