Outlook XP will not allow me to open additional mailboxes

When I attempt to open an additional mail box in Outlook
XP, I click on "Add" and I receive an error message "The
name could not be resolved. The action could not be
completed." I get this message before I can even enter a
name. This has happened to several users and it seems to
be somewhat incremental.
