I have discovered rules wizard and have successfully used
it to eliminate 90 percent of the spam. how ever spam
still goes to my original in box and outlook opens to that
inbox. how can i change the defaults for what
automatically opens when i open outlook?

Firstly a tip - in a newsgroup dedicated to "Outlook" it's NOT a good idea
to use a subject of just "Outlook" is it? We all KNOW you are asking about
Outlook otherwise you wouldn't be here, right? It's like taking your Ford
car to a Ford dealer and saying "Ford" instead of "The brakes don't work" or
whatever. try to be a bit more helpful in the subject line.

That said, in Outlook go to Tools-Options-Other and click on Advanced
Options. Change the start up folder in the drop-down box.
