Hi, strange problem, connect to a pop3 account, when they reply to a
message, the message disappears from the inbox altogether. Can still be seen
in sent items, but any attachments are now gone.

It probably doesn't disappear. It probably drops out of view because you
have a view such as "Sort by Icon" turned on.

Look again for any sorting and filtering on your view. It happens every
day. If you used Advanced Find on these messages, I bet you'll find them.
