I'm running the 2002 versions of the MS Office products under Windows
ME.
Having a lengthy document to type in French, the other day I added
French to my languages in the Control Panel Keyboard applet in order
to use a French keyboard layout. Ever since then, Microsoft Word,
Excel, and I think PowerPoint too have been popping up dialog boxes at
me offering to install various French-related stuff - autocorrect
files, spellchecking, I don't know what else. I'm having none of it,
and click no every time, but Office XP just won't take a hint. I'm not
even typing my French in a Microsoft product!
Is there any way to permanently get rid of these persistent and
over-eager offers to do things I don't want done? They're almost worse
than telemarketers
(Apart, that is, from giving up, digging out my Office CDs and letting
it install the stuff?)
Thanks
