Overallocation definition

Hi,
I have defined that each day's work is 9 hours. But when I insert a task
that is only for 1 day it shows (in the resource sheet) two days, the first
is 8 hours and the second is 1 hour.
I guess this is due to the 1 hour break that is defined in the calendar.
How do I cancel that break , assuming this is the cause.
If not, how do I make the resource not turn red for 9 hours?

Thanks,
Assaf.

But how do I change the default working time? If I mark all the calendar I'll
lose the holidays that are inserted as non working time.

Tools/Options Pull the Calendar tab and make changes there to the main
project calendar.
Remember to also change any specific resource calendars from the resource
sheet, you need to show the resources available as 9 hours/day as well.

The page in Tools/Options/Calendar does not change the working time calendar
at all. It should usually be aligned with the calendar you create or adjust
under Tools/ChangeWorkingTime. You should know that Project always works in
minutes when dealing with durations. On the options page, the settings
Hours per Day, Hours per Week, and Days per Month are the conversion factors
Project uses to decide how many duration minutes you're talking about when
you enter "X Days" in a duration field. If you have left it at 9 but left
the working time calendar at the default of 8 to 5 with an hour for lunch,
when you enter a task as having a duration of 1 day, it still has an hour of
work remaining when everyone goes home at 5pm and it will fall onto the next
day.
