Overhead Projector

Greetings,

I have attempted several times to use MS Project Professional and Project
Server while using a portable overhead projector for team meetings. No matter
if I am just using Project Pro on my desktop or trying to access Project
Server via the corporate network, the application bombs completely out while
I have the overhead projector linked to my laptop. I have tried an NEC, Dell
& InFocus projectors all with the same results. When trying to start up
Project while the overhead projector is attached and funcitoning, I get an
error message, the kind that comes up in a message box with the option of
"send a report to microsoft". The error message has no detail as to what is
causing the error. Which ever option you hit on the message box, the box and
Project immediately close completely leaving you back out at the desktop. I
tried changing my display resolution to 800X600 but that did not help.
It's got to be a video bug. Anybody else experience this error? Does
Microsoft have this documented somewhere?

Thanks,

I don't believe this is Project specific. You might try sending the video
signal to the projector only, rather than both the laptop display and the
projector together.

Gary,

We tried that too. It didn't work. There is no problem running other MS
Office apps, so yes I think it is project specific. All of our tech guys
didn't believe me until I demonstrated the problem. They are all scratching
their heads as well.
