Overriding of OneNote grids and custom rules

MWmC

I've tried to use the "grid" stationery (Format -> Stationery -> Blank ->
Small Grid) as a default for one of my sections. If I hit the "Show / Hide
Rule Lines" button with that stationery, the grid is lost and replaced with
college-ruled lines. If I hit the button again, I get a blank page, not the
originally grid.

Why does this "Show / Hide Rules Lines" button wipe out the stationery?

I have the same problem using the "Tight Lines" stationery downloaded from
Office / Templates. That button will hide the lines, but, when I hit it
again, it does NOT restore the tight rule of the stationery, but rather the
default college rule.

Can these behaviors be controlled?

Interesting - I don't think that's by design. I'll make sure that the
development team hears about this one.
