own web addess

how do i get my own web addess eg www.joe.co.uk? please help me. i can only
get C:\Documents and Settings\....\My Documents\My Web Sites\mysite2 or
https://--nohost--
i go into new web site the personal web but i want a person adress on the
web not a document on my computer and if i go to new page instead of new web
site and i done a web design i once again cant work out how to make my own
web page on the web and not an adress like C:\Documents and Settings ect all
i want i to be able to type on the web www.****.co.uk and my web will come
up, but if i changing it how do i stop it from being active and then making
it active again.

You need to register a domain with a hosting company, and create a hosting account for the
domain, example: myweb.com
Then after 24 to 48 hours your domain will become "live" on the internet.

Then you publish your web to http://www.myweb.com
