Page Background

I am useing Microsoft Frontpage 2002 to design a web site. My client wants a
red bar at the top of the page, a black stripe on the left hand side of the
page and the remainder of the page white. Howis the best way to do this?

I have Adobe Photoshop, so I could use that to create a graphic, but don't
know how.

I have designed pages in the past that used a stripe on the left hand side
of the page, but never with a stripe at the top of the page.

In experimenting around, I have designed a large graphic the full size of
the page, but this graphic takes too long to load. I'm sure there is a
simpler way.

If it's just "stripes" of color,
You could just build the page in tables and apply cell background color for the top & to get 100% coverage for left use a "side
banner" type image (1600px W by 10 px H) as a page background

I tried this, but I cannot get the top stripe (top banner, I guess) to go
all the way to the edge of the page.

I did forget to say that the top banner, which is red, has some white type
in it--the name and address of the company. I created this graphic in Adobe
Photoshop.

When I apply the background color and then insert graphic banner which has
the name and address in it, I have a white stripe left above the top banner.

Make sure you set page margins to 0
Insert the smaller image on a larger cell same color
