Page Numbering in a Section

Hi!

I want to start page numbering in a facing-page layout starting with
Page 1 on the right-hand page. Because it's a facing-page layout,
Publisher 2002 insists on making the LEFT page page 1 and the RIGHT page
page 2.

This section starts 9 pages into the document - Publisher insists on
starting on Page 8.

Any bright ideas welcomed!

View, turn off two page spread. Go to page nine, insert section, begin section
with this page, type one in the start at box. Okay out. Insert, page numbers.

Thanks Mary, that got it! However, I also don't want page numbers PRIOR
to page nine. Apart from putting a blank white box over them, is there
any way to get rid of the page numbers from the front cover to the first
page (page 9)?

View, Master Page, change to single Master page, Create a new Master Page
without page numbers. View Publication page, apply the new Master Page to the
range 1 through 8.

Thanks again, Mary!

However, (Pub2002) View > Ignore Master Page does the job just fine...
