PAGE NUMBERS IN NEW SECTIONS - Publisher 2007

I want to start a new section in a booklet by turning the present
(right-hand) page 5 into page 1. I've clicked on page 5 and gone to Insert,
clicked on Section. I take the option 'begin a section with this page', and
I choose the option 'start at 1.' I click OK and, hey presto, (left hand)
page 4 becomes page 1, not page 5. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

I've tried this now, and it's not that simple. If I insert new sections, so
that the first two pages and the last two pages are unnumbered (so that they
can be the cover), the numbering in the little boxes down by the task bar
reads 1,2 gap 1,2,3,4, gap 1,2. If I try to print, just the ordinary print
dialogue comes up. How do I get it to print the cover separately, or the
inside pages separately, or indeed any pages separately, since there are
several pages which now have the same number?

Not simple in 2007.
Take a look at print preview, there is an icon on the toolbar that allows you to
see several pages at once. Make a note what page is next the page you need to
print. Even though you have several page ones, the pages themselves don't change
position.

If you need to print, say, page 20 of a 24 page spread, you would type 5,20. If
you simply wanted page 20, turn off 2 page spread and print current page.

The cover you would type 1, 24

Yes, I have tried this; but quite often the document needs to flow on to the
inside pages of the cover.
