Page Setup Error when changing margin

Receive following error changing margin in Word 2003:

One or more margins are set outside the printable area of
the page. Choose the Fix button to increase the
appropriate margins.

I've seen this error before in Word 2000. I can't find
a pattern. Doesn't seem to occur all the time.

The margin settings are not outside of printable area.
If you select Fix, the bottom margin will be changed to
2.67". Always 2.67" This is so strange.

Anyone encounter anything like this? Any suggestions.
Doesn't happen to all users even though they all use same
printers and drivers?

There is a known conflict between Word 2002 (and 2003) and the HP drivers
for certain LaserJets that results in this 2.67" margin. Many users have
reported that the "margin fix" drivers at
http://www.hp.com/pond/ljbeta/index.html solve the problem.

Hi Matt

If you Google groups for '2.67" margin' you'll get some hits. It's usually
an HP driver problem and I gather there is a fix on their beta driver site.

I have encountered this message for over six months now, using three

different versions of Office. I couldn't find any fixes for this, let alone
mention of it as a problem. I tried completely uninstalling Office 2k, and
clearing out my registry entries and then reinstalling Office 3k, all with
no success.

As soon as I attempt to change a margin setting on certain documents, I

get the exact same message. No matter what I select, it automatically sets
the lower margin to 2.67" and clips the data off of my document. The only
way I canresolve this is to restart my system. Most of the time, this will
correct the condition, at least temporarily.

This is definately a bug and I would really appreciate it if there was a

way to clear it from my documents. HELP!
