pagebreaks

Denis Scadeng

I am using Word 2007. I imported a file created in a previous Word.
There are automatic pagebreaks leaving empty space but I can't get rid
of them - suggestions?
Also If I do a cut and paste the original remains though marked deleted
- how do I just get rid of it and tidy up the document.

If you are tracking changes, be sure to accept the changes done (Review
tab); then you should get rid of the manual breaks.

Hi Denis,

The page breaks may have been created by formatting the first paragraph on the following page with the 'Page Break Before'
attribute. However, given your other problem, it's just as likely that the document is set up with 'Track Changes' switched on - but
for deleted content to remain visible. Check the 'Track Changes' switch on the Status Bar and, if it says 'on', click in once to
switch it 'off'. Then you can happily delete content and have it immediately depart.
