pagenumber disappeared, what to do?

my word document skipped page 4, goes directly from 3 to 5.. non of the pages
has disappeard, just the pagenumber. what can i do to include number 4..?

Do you have an Odd Page section break between pages 3 and 5?

no. not as i know. just inserted a division shift (if that is what it is
called, have it in norwegian) and next page to get the headers to change.

Switch to Normal view; then you'll be able to see the section breaks
more easily. (I'm not sure about Norwegian, but in Swedish a section
break is called "avsnittsbrytning.")

This "division shift" that allows you to change headers sounds a *lot*
like a Section Break--and actually, could easily be a rough translation
of the same words.

I would guess a "division shift" is a section break. If you inserted a Next
Page break, it could well have been changed to Odd Page. Go to the Layout
tab of Page Setup and change the section start type back to "New page."
