Do you mean lists? Press return again, the number will turn off. If you want to
re-start the numbering, in the list dialog, input the number. Publisher doesn't count
paragraphs.
You can turn automatic numbering off in Tools, AutoCorrect options, Autoformat as you
type tab.
Thank you Mary but this has not solved my problem - I am using version 2003 -
writing a newsletter with numbered paragraphs. When I try to leave a single
line space the number starts at 1 again - is there a way round this? I have
tried turning off the autoformat option - will I have to do this manually?
