Using Windows XP, EVERY time I wish to download email in
Outlook 2002 a series of dialogs come up asking for the
password on each of my 5 email accounts. The box for
memorising these items has always been checked but the
passwords are never memorised. It is very time consuming
as I open Outlook many times a day. I don't leave it open
as my anti spam program MailWasher works from the ISP site
and needs to be monitored regularly.
How do I eliminate this irritating repetition? Never had
this problem with Windows ME.
Details in Tools/Options/Email Accounts are identical in
the Windows XP Notebook to the Windows ME PC except that
each time I open Email Accounts, the passwords in the
Notebook are always missing even though the checkbox
remains checked for memorising the passsword. Naturally I
re-enter the password in Email Accounts on the occasions I
visit there but next time it is missing again.
