password protect a sub folder on a shared drive

I am trying to find out how to password protect a specific sub folder (and
all it's contents) on a shared drive.

Not going to happen unless you buy some software that has that
capability. On the other hand the "shared folder" has a permissions
setting that you may determine which users may access the folder.
