Is there anyway to password protect otlook folders, so
that a wondering person can't read e-mail that has already
been downloaded?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

You can password protect a PST (Personal Folders
File)

Right click the top level folder
Select PROPERTIES
Click the ADVANCED... button
Click the CHANGE PASSWORD button...

Be aware that if you forget your password you will
not be able to access this folder either.

If you connect to an Exchange Server you can
set it up to use a different authentication method
to ask for your NT password to open Outlook.

If you just don't want other's who can access your
inbox to be able to see your mail the only thing you
can do is to send all mail with a "Private" sensitivity
setting. However, this would only be on mail that
you sent and set that way.
